Vulnerability is a work-in-progress series of larger scale textured works (48"x36”) that explore different aspects of vulnerability - from being wounded, being bare while yet structurally sound and with a resilient core, as openness, as authenticity, as the basis of human connection and vulnerability as a show of strength.

 

 “Wounds,” is the first completed work of the series - a darker pallet, pronounced texture and flowing ridges symbolize of scar tissue while the ren veining symbolizes passion as a healing force.

 

In a time when human connections have devolved to a series of technologically driven superficial and polarized interactions, where communities become echo chambers, vulnerability plays a key role in regaining our humanity and being able to build bridges and connect deeper inside us and with “the other” – that is often weaponized for discord, division and extremism. At the inner self level, fragility is an act of courage and a pathway to regaining freedom and authenticity.
